Helping Children Learn, Grow, and Thrive
At the GPYMCA, every child is supported by caring educators who inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Our licensed programs create a safe space for children to explore, make friends, and develop skills that last a lifetime. We also accept state-approved subsidies, including CCAP in Rhode Island and EEC childcare vouchers in Massachusetts.
- Early Learning (6 weeks–Pre‑K): Age‑appropriate play, early literacy, and school‑readiness activities in a warm, nurturing environment.
- School‑Age Care (K–8): Before‑ and after‑school programs with homework help, enrichment activities, and access to YMCA programs like swimming and sports.
- Year‑Round Fun: School vacation camps and summer programs offer new adventures, friendships, and hands‑on learning experiences.
We work in partnership with families to help children reach their full potential and prepare for a bright future.
Safe, age‑appropriate environments that inspire learning and play. Our BrightStar‑rated programs are led by caring, qualified educators who help children grow in confidence, creativity, and school‑readiness. Activities include swimming, field trips, and special events during school breaks.
A GPYMCA membership unlocks the member rate on childcare, so you pay less than non-members for early learning, before & after school, and vacation camps. Plus, family perks that support your routine. It’s the simplest way to lower childcare costs and make family life easier.

From 6 Weeks to 5 Years
At the GPYMCA, we know parents want more than just childcare — you want a place where your child is safe, happy, and growing every day. Our programs focus on the whole child, blending learning, play, and social skills in a warm, welcoming environment. We meet each child where they are, encouraging curiosity, building confidence, and helping them develop the skills they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond.
